About Us

The Lowveld Media Trust is a registered non-profit and non-governmental media organization working to advance access to information, freedom of expression and digital participation and rights. We work with youths, the media and relevant institutions in both rural and urban areas in the south-eastern lowveld of Zimbabwe to achieve our goals. In fact, we use media as a tool to champion community development, social change and consciousness. We established on the 23rd of January in 2020 and we are headquartered in Chiredzi with other representatives in Harare.

Our Mission

We exist to advocate for and promote access to reliable information, freedom of expression (by press and individuals), media development and digital participation and rights. We work with historically marginalized and underreported communities to inspire confidence and improve their communication skills to be able to tell their own stories.

Our Vision

We strive and endeavor to get all marginalized, underprivileged and remote communities to connect with the rest of the globe through digital media technologies. We believe in a world where access to reliable information and freedom of expression are considered rights and not privileges.
